Support our Troops

Here are some ways you can volunteer to support our troops:

1. Send a get well card or cheery card to a recovering soldier.

Address:

A Recovering American Soldier

c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center

6900 Georgia Avenue, NW

Washington, DC 20307-5001

2. Adopt a soldier from North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, and Minnesota serving in the Army Reserves in Iraq. You can regularly send letters and emails to your soldier and/or a care package. It really brightens a solder's day to receive mail!

Click here for care package item suggestions. The package needs to be sent in an APO box available at the post office. There are two sizes and they cost $10 or $15 to ship. You can pick the box up ahead of time and get a customs form to complete--then you are all set when you take the box back to the post office to ship.

To be assigned a soldier to adopt from this group of Army Reservists, please contact Jill Fourie: jill@uniglobectctravel.com.

3. Volunteer to help with programs for veterans offered by the Pentagon Federal Credit Union Foundation:
