Half day & day-long projects

Get on the Bus introduces the Virginia Tech community to service through half- and day-long projects with the goal of inspiring active community members. Each event is designed to offer opportunities to volunteers of any skill level and service experience.

How it works

The service days vary in focus, and feature local community partners that address issues such as hunger relief, conservation, and housing.

Many of the experiences are focused on providing physical labor, but, whenever possible, volunteers work alongside community members and staff from the partner organizations to encourage dialogue and relationship building. Following each project, VT Engage student leaders conclude the day with reflection activities.
